Alainn’s father is not a bad man. He’s a genius and an inventor. When he’s hired to create the robot Rose, Alainn knows taking the money is a mistake.

Rose acts like a human. She looks exactly like Alainn. But, something in her comes out wrong.

To save her father from a five year prison sentence, Alainn takes Rose’s place. She says goodbye to the sun and goes to live in a tower no human is allowed to enter. She becomes the prisoner of the man no human is allowed to see.

Believing that a life of servitude lies ahead, Alainn finds a very different fate awaits her in the company of the strange, scarred recluse.

My Review:

Special thanks to netgalley for providing me with an e-arc for an honest review

I absolutely adored this book. It’s a unique and innovative new take on the traditional Beauty and the Beast fairy tale. Which has humanesque robots that come equipped with artificial intelligence, a young man who lives in complete isolation. and of course an independent female lead. Now I noticed some errors made throughout this book which I hope will be fixed by the release date. For example, the ending of the book had some major gaps missing or not enough information about a time jump. I do suggest giving this one a read. I know that once this is released I will read it once again to see what has changed and will do another review. Also I would like to say that that there won’t be quotes from this book since it was asked.

Alainn’s is young girl who begs the man who hired her father to give him more time. Since her father is an inventor. Both her brother and father are working hard on perfecting Rose. Who just so happens to like exactly like Alainn. One evening, Rose comes up with the idea of having Alainn take her place until her family can finish perfecting Rose. You can tell that Alainn was hesitant about doing it but she ends up going. Once she arrives, she notices how secluded GUY lives. Even the fact that he hides his face from her. Little does GUY know that Alainn isn’t Rose and they both end up falling for each other. Alainn even helps GUY comes out of his comfort zone and shows who he really is to her. The romance is of course instant love but not in a over the top kind of way.

While reading this, I did end up laughing out loud at some parts. My favorite is the mysterious and well hidden creatures living in the house. Once they are exposed, and Alainn goes to tell GUY about it, I just died laughing. There is of course an evil force that will keep Alainn apart from GUY and truthfully I expected it but was surprised by why. I’d like to go more in depth on what happens in this book and everything but it’s not a finished copy. So once it is, I will do a more in depth review and have quotes. I highly recommend Ensnared and so happy I was selected to read it. Gave it 4 stars because of the errors and hoping to give it a higher rating when the finished copy is released.
